ONYEKACHI JOEL: I am immensely proud of having overcome the challenges I faced in my early life. As a child, I was highly headstrong and often involved in disputes during my teenage years. My parents would reprimand me for even the slightest misbehavior. On one occasion, my father had asked me to boil some eggs. After putting the pan over high heat and allowing the water to reach a rolling boil, he was nowhere to be seen after half an hour passed. An hour later, he came bearing a paper with what seemed to be the largest zero mark I had ever seen, covering almost the entire sheet. I remember the words of my father, "Onyekachi, this is your nursery 2 result, see the egg, cook it", when I failed my exams while my younger brother passed. The childhood traumas that ensued were not easily overcome, nor was it easy to gather up the courage to pursue my dreams. However, I managed to remain resilient and determined in spite of it all; studying hard and eventually graduating among the top eight of my department with a Bachelor's Degree. Although those years were far from an easy ride, I'm proud for having been able to make it here today. Now that I'm here, let us see what lies ahead! .
